‘Our room had beautiful views ….. and I loved sitting in the window seat as it got dark and watching the lighthouse come to life. We were particularly impressed with [the] rewilding initiative and eco credentials – we were thrilled to spot a sparrowhawk. We were thoroughly reassured by Lesley’s Covid procedures and felt really safe throughout out stay. We felt totally relaxed after our stay and hope to return soon!’

“There’s a little house, on the edge of a field,
Warm and inviting, a treat to the eye.
The lady of the house, will greet you with heart,
To look after you well, a time you will never forget.
Her hospitality endless, her house so sublime,
A traveler won’t forget, their time at Troustrie.”

We stayed there on the very first night of our Scotland trip, and it was the best welcome for this country we could have imagined. Lesley is so friendly and cordially, we immediately relaxed after our long journey. The room is lovely (like we imagine British country rooms to be) and perfectly clean, as is all of the house.
Such a joy to stay at Troustrie House. I was made to feel very welcome with the kind hospitality and the days passed by all too quickly. Beautifully furnished character accommodation with a cosy and friendly atmosphere. St Andrews and Kingsbarns golf courses are within easy reach, as well as many other great golf courses to play.
This is a perfect B&B for a visit to this lovely part of Fife in Scotland. First, there was the warm welcome by Lesley, the owner, with coffee and homemade cake. Then we were shown to our beautifully decorated and comfortable twin room with a big ensuite and fabulous views from the windows.

Once again we were made very welcome on our arrival. Home made cake and tea or coffee served in very comfotable guest’s lounge, Lesley had lit the wood burning fire which added to be overall ambiance. Beatifully appointed room overllooking open farmland so blissfully quiet. Home cooked breakfast and pleassant conversation with other guests at shared large breakfast table.
Great short visit when I was visiting Crail for the day. Fantastic rooms in a beautiful grand old farmhouse which has been well refurbished. The fire was roaring in the evening and there was a nice lounge area for guests to unwind. Lesley was a very welcoming host and the breakfast was excellent. Room was terrific, with a lovely view
My husband and I wanted a peaceful weekend and we were not disappointed. The quality of the accommodation was excellent with great views over the Forth and a very cozy lounge where we enjoyed a peaceful evening by the woodburning stove.

We slept well after a beautiful coastal walk. Such a lovely house and a delicious breakfast to set us up for another wander up the coast.
